DSC_1311Francisca Korantemaa Darfour (Franka) is a political analyst with particular interest in elections, gender and politics, transparency & accountability issues in government, and governance and state building efforts in fragile settings.

Franka is the 2012-14 Mo Ibrahim Foundation scholar at the University of Birmingham, UK with a Master’s degree in International Development (Governance and Statebuilding). As part of her MSc. Programme, Franka interned with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation in London as a research assistant for the Research Department. She also worked as a summer intern with the Governance and Social Development Resource Centre (GSDRC) in Birmingham.

Franka is currently the Political/ Governance Analyst at Penplusbytes. She leads various research works leading to insights, policy recommendations and evidence to drive effective advocacy.
