The project is designed to stimulate citizens’ interest to meaningfully participate in contributing to a budget that seeks their own welfare, by making national budget information readily accessible to them through the publication of Citizen Friendly version presented in a language devoid of technical jargons and in a format that ordinary people can understand. This project seeks to simplify key aspects of the budget and will be disseminated as printed copies, online version, SMS and Mobile App. Focusing on health, education, housing and agriculture sectors, the project will hold public budget reading fora to disseminate simplified budget and monitor status of budget implementation.
