Nana Kwabena Agyei-Owusu

Nana Kwabena Agyei-Owusu is an Information Systems Analyst Application Developer. He is an accomplished and highly motivated systems analyst and application developer with over 12years experience.

 

Experienced in planning, designing and deploying web based solutions for institutions across various industries. He has consulted for a number of organisation  including World Bank, UNDP, UNIDO, Parliament of Ghana, Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) and STAR-Ghana (Strengthening Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in Ghana)

Gerard Guèdègbé

Gerard Guèdègbé is a leading expert in communication, journalism, editing and facilitator/trainer in Investigative reporting. He has offered facilitated learning workshops on investigative journalism in Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mauritania, South Africa, Mozambique, Ghana and Benin.

Currently he is the Président/Chairman of Forum for African Investigative Reporters (FAIR) http://www.fairreporters.org/. He has won a number of prizes in ICT Journalism and serves as a reporter for Voice of America. Mr. Guedegbe serves as Trainer and Facilitator at penplusbytes with focus on Francophone Africa

Levi Kabwato

He is an activist with vast experience in media management, journalism and political science.

Levi regularly contributes opinions and analyses to various media outlets in the SADC region and also maintains various blogs, including the prestigious Mail & Guardian's Thought Leader. He has worked previously as a Features Writer, Editor, Social Media Manager and Research Coordinator.

Macha Ndesanjo

Macha is a journalist, lawyer, poet, sociologist, and blogger and also runs the English-language DigitalAfrica blog. As well as running his own blogs, Ndesanjo provides a round-up, in English, of what  happens on Swahili blogs for Harvard's Global Voices Project.

Ndesanjo's writing and research interests are online/citizen/grassroots journalism, local e-content, Internet laws, and the intersection of policy, ICTs, and sustainable development, and he is currently writing a book about blogging in Africa.

Michael Kottoh

Michael has founded several organizations and projects including the Accra-based  Intercollegiate Development Think Tank which runs public policy fellowships for young scholars; The Young Writers Project-Ghana and the Young Writers Discovery Prize; and the Peter Arnett Fellowship for Global Journalism, named after renowned ex-CNN journalist Peter Arnett.  

Prior to joining ACET, Michael has worked as a consultant for many organizations including the World Bank, the National Development Planning Commission of Ghana and the African Elections Project, where he authored country reports on the performance of the media in covering elections in African countries. His specialisations are in policy research, development communications and project management advisory.

Jonas Klutsey

Jonas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Philosophy in 2002; and admitted to the Degree of Master of Philosophy, Political Science, in 2007 with Conflict and Development as his Thesis Area. 

He served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Political Science from 2006 to 2009 handling courses spanning Conflict Studies, Human Rights, Politics in Ghana and Public Administration among many others. Jonas was a member of the Penplusbytes group
of Editors responsible for the content development of the Malawi Media Monitoring
Report in 2009.
