Kwami Ahiabenu II

With over nine Years of experience in Management, Marketing, New Media, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Development.

He was Executive Director of AITEC Ghana and a former board member of Ghana Information Network for Knowledge Sharing (GINKS) Served as a Key Committee Member for the organization of World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) African Regional Meeting 2005. He has undertaken several training sessions on new media across Africa; he is a Steve Biko and Foster Davies Fellow.

Kwami is the co-chair of the African Media Forum on Geospatial Information Systems (AMFGIS) under the auspices of the United Nations Commission for Africa (UNECA) and is currently on the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship Program being undertaken by the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington D.C.  

 

Kofi Mangesi

He is an ICT industry analyst and award winning journalist with long standing experience in the ICT industry in Ghana. He was first full time ICT journalist in Ghana and has written extensively on ICT development in Ghana for over eight years.

He also has extensive experience in the developmental sector, having worked for non governmental organizations in both Ghana and Zambia. He is a graduate from University of Kwazulu Natal, Durban South Africa with an M.A in Development Economics

Jeremiah Sam

Jeremiah Sam is leading journalist and trainer and he is currently the Project Manger of African Elections Project (www.africanelections.org).

In this position he performs all aspects of project leadership in terms of project implementation, consultancy services, managed consultation exercise with stakeholders, development of reports for clients and outside stakeholders, as well as delivery of key presentations. His role also includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and managing relationships with partners and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan whilst ensuring quality control throughout project life cycle.

Sandra Mills

Sandra Mills, having graduated from the University of Ghana in 2010, has since been with the Penplusbytes team and currently works as the Program Associate.

In this capacity, she manages all online platforms of Penplusbytes and is also in charge of coordinating all programs of Penplusbytes, including bootcamps, symposiums and workshops.

Gifty Sackey

Gifty Sackey is  currently a final year communications studies student at the African University College of Communications (AUCC).

Gifty has been a member of Team Penplusbytes since 2006 and is the office administrator  who sees to the day to day running and  coordinating of  activities  in the  office as well managing the oil and gas website (reportingoilandgas.org).

Francisca Ahiabenu

Francisca is currently studying business administration and management at the Transafrican university college in Accra.

Fransisca Ahiabenu has been with team Penplusbytes since 2008 as a media monitor. She sees to the overall affairs of the media monitoring center. She also writes television reviews for the African Elections Project.

Miriam Hayford

Miriam Hayford graduated from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, with a diploma in communication studies and currently being trained at Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI) in oil and gas training-media.

She has worked with TV3 as a broadcast journalist, data entry and front desk personnel.
Miriam now works with Penplusbytes as a Multi-media Journalist and conducts online, newspaper and radio media monitoring and newspaper review monitoring and writing

Kwasi Boakye-Akyeampong

An IT professional with over 15 years work experience in various capacities and industries. Holds a Diploma in Data Processing from University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and an MSc Computing (Business) and MA Broadcast Journalism (Radio and TV- pending) Staffordshire University, UK.

Career spans employment in IT Consultancy, banking, retail, broadcast journalism, training, etc., in both Ghana and the UK. Also served on the Board of a global IT professional body, Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR) from 2007 to 2009.

Eric Osiakwan

He is the Executive Secretary both of the African Internet Service Providers Association (AfrISPA, www.afrispa.org) and the Ghana Internet Service Providers Association (GISPA, www.gispa.org.gh). 

He is also a Visiting Fellow and Scholar at the Stanford University and Reuters Foundation Digital Vision Program @ http://reuters.stanford.edu and affiliate of the Berkman Centre for Internet and Society at the Harvard Law School @ http://cyber.law.harvard.edu
